thana Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 I have noticed with many torrents that the download rate will free fall to 0.0 kb/s and will stay like that for quite some time (I don't usually watch them download). For example: I'm downloading at 500 kb/s and then it will slowly go down, without any increase what-so-ever. As the d/l rate is dropping the % complete does not increase, so I guess that when it starts to drop I lose all connections? Basically I have to kill the torrent and relaunch it. It will often times will do the same over again, so I have to constantly kill and relaunch torrent to get good consistent bandwidth. Can anyone help me out? All I know is the port checker said everything is forwarded correctly...
thana Posted November 5, 2010 Author Report Posted November 5, 2010 hmmmm used the top link on youtube for speed up utorrent and followed those specs seems 2 work better so far.
Switeck Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 The vast majority of the Youtube speedup guides for uTorrent are extremely network-hostile to your ISP, other BitTorrent users, and often even to those who use it!http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=520141st and 2nd links in my signature go the OTHER direction for good results. If you're losing all connections sometimes, then decreasing the (over)loads is a better way to reduce that problem.
