fzr2400 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I am encountering a frustrating problem that I hope someone here could help. When I start uTorrent, the program would run smoothly and max out my bandwidth at around 300 KB/s for around 30 minutes (I haven't timed it though), however, it would suddenly drop and fluctuate at around 30 to 70 kB/s while the downloads are still not finished. Restarting my computer or renewing my ip address didn't help. This problem started recently after my move. Before that, uTorrent had no problems at all and would always pretty much max out the bandwidth until the files are done. I did not change the settings at all, and I also opened TCP and UDP ports on the new router that my computer is connected to. After uTorrent starts up before the slow down, port checker would say my port is being forwarded and show the green network ok check mark. After the speed drops the green check mark is still there but sometimes the port checker would say my port does not appear to be open but sometimes it would say it's open and accepting connections if I refresh the page a few times. Any ideas? Please let me know if there are additional info i need to provide. Thank you.
