jult
Well then, the problem is beyond the scope of uTorrent. You need good nameservers from your ISP first.

bunnyt
hi, i am in korea (koreans are not much into bittorrents for file-sharing),new computer - 1gig ram, vdsl, speed test around 3000 down/600 up, using utorrent for a couple of weeks, seem to have problem with port forwarding, have been reading these and other forums trying to sort things out myself but know im not in the same league as most of you so keep hitting deadends. occasionally a torrent will reach download speeds of 100 and momentarily 200 but mostly 0 - 30 (up to 20 open seeds). i am using the windows firewall that came with my OS (XP SP2) and have gone to those settings (TCP/UDP) to allow utorrent.com on the 5-digit port i chose in utorrent preferences and i also set up the static IP using info i gleened here. a couple of questions (this is gonna sound pretty dumb)1-i am not even sure i have a router, the little black box with the flashing lights has no branding whatsoever except for a KT (Korea Telecom) sticker with VDSL modem (written in Korean). i have gone to my LAN network connection settings and found this - TE100-PCBUSR 32-Bit Cardbus PC C (i think its trendnet) but dont see this in the portforwarding routers guide. so any idea whether this is just a modem or is it modem/router and if so can i successfully port forward ?2-when i set up the static IP address there was another number - DHCP 59.##.###.##. i ddint see any instructions regarding this number. did i miss something ?i would really appreciate any help u could give me. thanks
