Speed not increasing in utorrent v2.0.2

I am a new utorrent (bittorrent client) I find that whenever i downloading a torrent file the speed never increase above 55kbps and the upload is also very slow being about 0.9kbps (Sometimes it increases to 12kbps but soon it comes back to the low levels). I tried all the methods given in the community forum to improve my download and upload speed such as changing th connection, bandwidth, and bittorrent settings but they are not responding. Can you Help ! ! !

You seem to be confusing bits and BYTES.

A 512 kilobit/second download connection may only be able to download in uTorrent at about 50-60 KiloBYTES/second.

But my reqular downlaoder such as orbit gives me about 70-80kbps

Or Is there any method i could increase my speed ?

speedtest sites give values in *bit/sec

uTorrent displays in *byte/sec

Please be more clear about what units you're referring to.

speedtest.net's results are in *bit/sec, your connection is BARELY capable of 50kbyte/sec.
