dAbReAkA
Az 2.4 sends bad data which causes hashfails.. that's why some of the peers get banned
madasahatter
Ahhhhh rite - thanx - is this unique to Az 2.4?
BloodStaindHurricane
I've seen this alot also. What new changes/bugs for Az 2.4 causes this?
DreadWingKnight
A bug in their Encryption implementation causes this.
Fevves
Azureus users just should use their latest beta... I guess.
1c3d0g
There's a 2.4.0.1 out there, 'cause I've downloaded from one, and I haven't received any hashfails, which confirms that they've indeed fixed their Encryption bug.
hwfanatic
This is not good to hear.
Firon
Yeah, their betas. They still haven't released a new stable.
Fevves
Az lastest beta is doing just fine with µT no hashcheck fails at all.
izo
Unfortunately there are not many users using the latest Beta :\
madasahatter
Unfortunately, this is now also happening when downloading from a seed using utorrent 1.5.HELP!!! This is getting ridiculous . is there any way to stop 1.5 banning peers because this is starting to really do my head in!!
Ultima
Again, as I stated in the other thread you posted in, the seed/peer is probably sharing corrupt data.
madasahatter
Sorry - got a bit carried away - wish I'd never updated from 1.4 - never had any bother with that at all. However, I have noticed at least 2 (that I'm sure of) pieces of the torrent that have got him banned, then when I re-connect I get them no problem. Is there any way to increase the number of hash fail checks before the peer is banned?Alternatively, is it possible to stop 1.5 automatically banning clients? DreadWingKnight
Is there any way to increase the number of hash fail checks before the peer is banned? Not currently. The current setting is 5.Alternatively, is it possible to stop 1.5 automatically banning clients? And end up getting an endless stream of hashfails? Why? madasahatter
I asked the second question because, as I pointed out, I definitely got a least 2 pieces after the peer had been banned for hash check fails on those very same pieces after closing utorrent and then starting it again.Anyway, thanks for the answers - much appreciated. Firon
Going back to 1.4 isn't going to fix anything.
