jayp5454 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 First, I'm using Bit Torrent 7.1 but understand it is comparable/same. I used to click on "Download This Torrent" and it would open in Bit Torrent with a box/windows that asked me to confirm I wanted to open the torrent and gave me the option to select any files I wanted to download. Something happened and all at once it was just saving the torrent to my hard drive and I had to go to the file and click on it to open in Bit Torrent.I did go to preferences and told it to look for torrents in a particular directory and to automatically load them and delete after loading. I also went to UI and told it to Show a Window that displays the files inside the torrent. It does all of this except it doesn't open the window and let me confirm the download and/or select files. If I remove the "Automatically load torrents from" statement it goes back to downloading in a directory and then I have to go there and open the file. What am I doing wrong or what needs to be done to get it to work as it did? And wonder why it changed from my previous method of operation? MANY THANKS
DreadWingKnight Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 You're expecting the autoload function to trigger the "Show a dialog" function. It doesn't and isn't supposed to.Using an autoload folder automatically loads the torrents and starts them. It's there for 0 user interaction.
