Combine two pc's / settings.dat?

Yes, moving uTorrent to another machine is no problem anymore, switched to more pc's than using different brands of razorblades

BUT, now I want to move 1800 torrents on one machine to a new PC. AND I want to move almost 4000 torrents of another PC to that same new PC.

Is it possible to combine these two settings.dat / resume.dat files? Don't want to loose all dl/ul info etc...

First machine is already "over" to the new one but now the second one.

Anyone?

Get Ultima's Bencode editor and hack together the 2 resume.dat files.

MAKE BACKUPS of the .dat files FIRST!

That editor can also edit where all the torrents are located, so you don't have to do force rechecks on everything.

You can merge resume.dat and change the path (drive letters etc) if necessary.

If you're just wanting old torrents to resume, that has nothing to do with settings.dat.

settings.dat mostly concerns uTorrent's speed settings.

There is no option in the BEncode editor to import or join/merge/concatenate two files. Am I missing something?

LOL you're quick. I just came back to edit and say I had the previous 0.6 version. I saw in the release notes that merging was a new feature and just upgraded. Silly me I wish I had checked last night for a new version when I was attempting this. To be honest I did not think this was a continuing project.. I had downloaded it before from an outside link.

YES, it seems to work, just got to copy all info now but it looks ok.

Yes, absolutely, it worked perfectly!

I moved the .torrent files from one appdata/uTorrent to the other, moved the files into the 2nd computer and edited the resume.dat files to point to the correct directory structure on the new computer.. then merged it into the existing one and it all worked perfectly.
