Thanks for everyones' feedback!

@moogly: I just fixed the space for that string. It will be in the next build

We're getting close to declaring 2.2.1 stable. If there are any outstanding serious issues or regressions that we might be overlooking, please let us know!

utorrent icon not in system tray. this problem still exists.

Same here (2.2.1.24266).

With the latest final build I even had to delete the µTorrent settings each time the trayicon disappeared to get µTorrent (re)started again (to see in the tray)!

With the new beta build it seems that you can restart µTorrent with an active trayicon at least.

Same in 2.2.1.24512. Not fixed.

Same in 2.2.1.24567. Still loosing the tray icon smetimes.

workaround for missing tray icon:

Options--> Preferences -->UI Settings > System Tray

uncheck all, click Apply, recheck all, click Apply.

This only works if you can get to manage to get to the preferences window. But when running µTorrent just with the tray icon you basically loose the ability to bring µTorrent to foreground at all! So I always have to kill µTorrent from Taskmanager and restart it ...

Hello all,

Using latest build 24567, I seem to face a very (very) annoying bug - whenever a file is done downloading (i.e. begin seeding), it seems to get automatically deleted from system completely, nowhere to be found.

Hence, all the downloaded data is gone and I need to start over.

Don't know about previous build (24512) which has its own set of problems, but I don't think it happened in 24266.

Adam.

Both "put new downloads in" and "move completed downloads to" are checked and set to the same directory.

I think it has always been that way, though I don't really see the point, to be honest :/

I've unchecked the "move completed downloads to", downloaded a small torrent and it seems to solve the problem, file began seeding as expected.

Thanks for the quick reply.

One of the torrents I'm currently downloading is reporting the following:

why does it keep on banning the same IP-address? Once should be enough right?

I'm using build 24567

I did change the value of bt.ban_treshold to 5. Must have done that a long time ago already because I don't have a clue anymore why that was, but it was for a good reason. Probably after reading about it here. I'm not someone that randomly changes values to see what's gonna happen ;)

If I move a torrent that has finished downloading to another location while µTorrent 2.2.1 build 24567 is not running then start µTorrent and set download location for that torrent to where I moved the files, µTorrent deletes the files! It seems to be overwriting the files with ghosts from their previous location. If I do a Force Re-Check before changing download location to where I moved the files µTorrent behaves somewhat better, warning that an existing file will be overwritten. But it should NOT be doing any overwriting because it has nothing to overwrite with. It is necessary to let µTorrent do the moving itself, which it now does when a new download location is set. But even this does not work perfectly, security settings from the original download location get copied along with the files being moved rather than the files inheriting settings from the parent directory into which they were moved. Plus time and date stamps get changed.

The same unexpected file deletion is also being done by µTorrent 3.0 build 24520 but not µTorrent 2.2 build 23703, which allows the new download location to be set after files have been manually moved in the same way as I am accustomed to doing. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
