Seyss 4 Report post Posted November 28, 2010 now that I have a decent network connection (5mbits/s download speed advertised, which is giving me a max of 594kb/s including overhead) I'm able to asses that uTorrent is working great.it manages the overhead and the limits I set well.overhead, upload and download graphs look consistent. An american dream 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 Hi all there! I have just two questions: 1. How disable new uTorrent's feature - Apps?2. How decrease uTorrent's startup time - it took about 4-5 seconds or something before application actually start? 2.0.4, for example, does not have problem with startup time.I use last build - uTorrent 2.2.1 Build 23274. Thanks.

ChichipioWilson 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 You about "Show Apps Pane"? I talking about disabling Apps feature - not just hiding. If you don't install and use them, they're not active. You don't need to disable them.
Firon 3 Report post Posted December 1, 2010 The feature does nothing if you aren't looking at it. It's totally disabled with the apps pane hidden.

osm0sis 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 ex58: it's only been 3 hours since it's been out. what do you expect? it's standard practice not to roll something out on the autoupdate for a little while to make sure, within a smaller circle, that the build is stable. Switeck 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 So the "Disconnect: PEX message flood" bug (which shows up in uTorrent's logger window/tab if errors are monitored) has not been fixed?(This bug affects uTorrent v2.0.4, v2.2, v2.2.1, and v3.0)
heidelberg23 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 A minor but annoying bug: After boot the icon in task-bar disappears and I have to go through Preferences/UI Settings/Always show tray icon and uncheck/check to get it back. This bug is still not fixed on 23551. mkk 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 Just a wee oddity that I've been wondering about for some time. When deleting a torrent job that consists of a large number of files, the CPU usage of uTorrent.exe spikes and the program interface becomes unresponsive for a while. I noticed just now that uTorrent reads at least part every file after it has been placed into "recycle bin" and I suppose that behavior might likely have something to do with the issue. Some safety checksum after moving perhaps? I don't suppose that's at all necessary especially when deleting files. I've been wondering about this for some time and made several searches into the forum but found nothing substantial. Now that I think I've might have found something I thought I'd chime in.Otherwise it's all smooth sailing here.

iycgtptyarvg 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2010 For a couple of beta's now I've been getting the message 'The language file could not be downloaded' (or something like that) when it tells me a new version is available. After that, it still updates correctly. I use uTorrent English.
wildwestgoh 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2010 Just a silly question if this version already solved the 2.2 startup torrents checking or is it already disabled by default?I would like to know before I change my 2.0.4 to this newer version. Thanks lots. Is it what uTorrent doing for the 2.2?I'm referring to the torrent checks, like data availability checks on every single torrents during startup, I have 1k+ completed torrents that some already moved somewhere else. I just have this habit to keep those torrents around.Well, I would like this feature to be disabled (or by default) before I upgrade otherwise it would make the startup way long (like forever), even though I rarely shut it down, quite troublesome with it around when you want to restart the PC for any reason.Thank you for anyone whom can clarify this.
