parag.doke Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hello All.I am new to P2P. Currently using uTorrent 2.0.4 (Build 22150).My question is about renaming files inside folders in torrent files. Let me clarify:Support a torrent file contains the information for 3 files (F1, F2, F3) contained in a parent folder (Parent). When I open the torrent file with uTorrent, I can at the most use a custom download folder rather than "Parent". Thus the default location would be:<Path to My Documents>\Downloads\<My folder named instead of "Parent">\At this location, it still downloads the original file names (F1, F2, F3).How can I make uTorrent save the files on the local file system with some other names ? Like "New F1", "New F2" and "New F3".It is likely that someone might have already asked this question (either on this form or somewhere else). However, I being new to the terms/jargon might not have hit the right Google search result. In such a case, any pointers to an existing discussion, etc. will also help. Thanks in advance!
moogly Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Rename the containing folder or the files then use the function 'Advanced > Set Download Location' (stop the torrent job and right click) or 'Relocate' in the Files tab (right click).
parag.doke Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 Thank you moogly. The 2nd option worked for me. For the benefit of others:1) Stop the torrent job2) Go to the files tab3) Right click on the file to rename4) Choose Relocate
