Anorien
I have 2.0.4 version and from some unknown reasons to me my µTorrent stopped limitting speed anymore (both global or per torrent). What I am interested in is limitting the download to a max of 1024 kB/s and when I set up this limit, it is like not limitting at all since speed goes way over 3 MB/s. I also tried to limit the upload, just to check if it works, and it doesnt. Could i please get some help what to do to fix it? It was working untill a few weeks ago and that feature to limit speed comes really in handy for me. Thanks PS: some system info: Windows 7 Ultimate 64x, i'm behind a router and im using port forwarding.
Switeck
The new settings probably override it.Did you check uTP?
Anorien
Hello Switeck,I have enabled the option "Apply rate limit to uTP connections" under "Global Rate Limit Option" and it is working now. I don't remember disabling it since i dont modify the settings, but im glad its solved now. Thank you so muchRegards,Anorien
Switeck
It's a new feature and new behavior. uTP self-manages bandwidth and backs off if others on the same network are heavily using it.
GTHK
Supposedly it should only add 100ms of ping. It adds 200ms for me but that's ok if you're not a hardcore gamer. Unless you have a cap or it gives you some issue, letting it self-manage should be fine.
Switeck
Many without a cap may still want uTorrent to limit speeds during peak evening hours because of heavy loads then and ISP's "fair use" policies.
