File disappears after setting download location.

Well first off,

I do this.

Right click

Advanced ---->

Set Download Location ----->

I set it for my movies folder on my desktop. It has worked for the last two months, all files show up where they are directed. I did this for several movies this evening and they have all completely disappeared and I cannot locate them anywhere on my computer. I tried to set other movies to a different location and none the less, the movies are just vanished.

You probably removed them manually. µT doesn't remove files as long as you do it yourself in µT.

Verify the files are not hidden.
