Pozdn Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Dear sirs! I always use the utorrent for a long time without problems. But, I bought the device Giga NAS Dongle NAS-G101 to work with a separate HDD. This device works with the hard disk with only FAT32, but this device permitted to copy singlel files to 127Gb. I want to torrent worked with this HDD. But the utorrent reported an error file was not created because of the filesystem failed for this big file (more 4Gb). What should I do?http://www.mrt-communication.com/NAS-G101.htm
DreadWingKnight Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 There's nothing you can do if the device requires FAT32 hard drives.FAT32 as a filesystem does not support single files over 4gb, even if the dongle tries to fake its way around that restriction.
Pozdn Posted November 26, 2010 Author Report Posted November 26, 2010 But I'm in Windows Explorer or Total Comander without problem copying files by from 20 to 40 Gb on this HDD. A utorrent not possible?
DreadWingKnight Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 It's a fat32 drive, don't expect the files to work properly even though the dongle claims to make it work.I don't know what hacks the dongle manufacturer put in to make it work, but it won't be stable.
