barnoy Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 i download with my torrent to an external drive that is on my home network. that drive has 1TB of free space. my computer on the other hand is only 140GB. when ever my download folder on the drive reaches 140GB it stiops the downloads an tells me that the disk is full. i geuss it does that becuse it takes the disk size from my local machine and compares it to the download folder. is there a way around that?
moogly Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Are you sure you aren't downloading the torrents on your local HD?Check the directory settings in 'Preferences > Directories' in µT and be sure you didn't set a path from your local HD.
barnoy Posted November 27, 2010 Author Report Posted November 27, 2010 well, that could of been a very easy solution but yes, i am sure. i later on use the files from there betwork drive wich is connected via a media streamer. i see the files of the destination folder, wich is not at all full.
barnoy Posted November 27, 2010 Author Report Posted November 27, 2010 and now i see that even when i moved some of downloads to a different location, it steel does that- there is about 750GB of free space on the disk, but the error keeps showing up.
DreadWingKnight Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 What size of files (not the whole torrent, individual files in it) are you trying to save, and what filesystem is the drive? Is the external an apple time capsule?
barnoy Posted November 27, 2010 Author Report Posted November 27, 2010 the external is an iomega 1TB External HD, connected through a Media Streamer. not all files do that: now for exampel i am getting that with a file that is 550MB, but at the same time, a torrent of 4.4GB built out of 350MB files is downloading corectly...
barnoy Posted November 27, 2010 Author Report Posted November 27, 2010 can it be related to my network definitions? it started doing that more or less the same time a changed my internet connection from l2tp to dynamic ip...
DreadWingKnight Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Are you able to test with the external connected to your computer instead of the media streamer?
