port is not open

I'm using dell studio 1555 laptop with windows vista. for few min i see green tick mark indicating the connection is proper but after sometime it becomes yellow caution kind symbol n downloading speed is almost zero. When I run spped test in utorrent it says the port is not open. How can i fix this?

plz help..

Is it because of vista updates or any virus?

n I ve tried almost all port forwarding methods posted. Doesn work.

Some routers (and possibly modem-routers as well) have their own firewalls that for whatever reason flag uTorrent's traffic as hostile and block it. Sometimes they take awhile to do it...even minutes to hours.

Or...UPnP and NAT-PMP may not be working correctly, even conflicting with each other (since both may try to map the same port.) They can also conflict with manual port mapping on a router.
