Wierd Behaviors, program crashes or slows to a hault

So this started today, utorrent worked for year with no problem on my PC. I had 1.8.5 but I just upgraded to 2.0.4 but I am getting the same problems. So here are the symptoms:

I tried to download a 20GB file from one tracker and what happens is that it start downloading fine for 30 seconds but then speeds crash to 0! I mean all the torrents in the program go to 0! Upload and Download. So me being a nice guy, I try to close the program to re-open it.

It looks like it closed but the process is still VERY alive. And here is the biggest bummer. Even with the task manager I can NOT end the process. So me being a nice guy again I shut down the computer by holding the power button cause it won't shut down normally since it can't kill the utorrent process.

So when the computer restarts I open up the program and it re-checks the torrent I just tried to download. So that's that.

Once again, me being a good guy I try a different tracker. Once again the download begins, and this time the speed of the upload goes to 0 like the other time. But now the download goes from 500kb/s to 200kb/s to 100kb/s to 2kb/s then magically it jumps back up to 500 kb/s. WTF?

Same old story though about the process not being able to end...

Now am pissed of! How can a nice guy like me solve such an issue?

What OS? Are you seeing Disk Overloaded?

I have Windows Vista Home 64bit and I just went back and yes, when it crashes I see Disk Overload 100%, am guessing that is not good, but why now and not in the past 3 years I have had this program? And how would I go about fixing this?
