casper1
I've 4G of memory installed and would like to setup a RAMdrive to direct all cache into that drive, is it possible to set in uTorrent for cache location instead? I bet this will speed things up and also reduce to read/write to physical drive.
Firon
No, that won't help. And uT caches into memory, not disk.
Switeck
uTorrent's ram usage on mine is often a LOT less than its cache size...because it's swapping to disk even when it shouldn't be.
Ultima
How is this any different from µTorrent's existing disk cache anyway? And nothing stops you from using the RAM disk as a temporary download location, and letting µTorrent automatically move to the real location after. (Good luck though if you shut your computer down before you finish a torrent.)
