Blind.Sniper
Been searching Google to no avail for the past 2 days... Cannot seem to find anything that works.I have uploaded 3 files, tried multiple different Torrents to see if that was the problem.I have the green light, so my network is okay.I turned off Windows Firewall, and all my other Firewalls. But I CANNOT connect to my Peers/Seeds. It's always 0(100) or some type of number on each. I can download Torrents, but when I upload them onto uTorrent I'm unable to get a seed/peer. Could anyone pinpoint a problem or just give a hint? I've tried everything on Google basically. Thank you.If you need me to put more information down, I will. Just tell me!
Switeck
1st and 2nd links in my signature. Also try rafi's uTorrent Guide: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=74820
Blind.Sniper
Nothing in any of those Guides have anything to do with my specific problem.I switched up some of my settings though.I randomly download .1 -> 1 KB/secBut none of my seeds are connected, confused as to what that means.DHT: 279PICTURE:
DreadWingKnight
Why didn't you select one of the offending torrents to get the tracker status for it?
Blind.Sniper
Why didn't you select one of the offending torrents to get the tracker status for it?I do not understand, sadly. Lol, could you elaborate?
DreadWingKnight
It could be that there's not actually anyone to upload to.and it could be that you have a broken ipfilter.dat file installed or some other internet security software that doesn't play nice. I'm guessing I cannot connect to them, or something. Another problem is I cannot exceed 2KB's. But that's not an issue since I can't even connect to them in the first place. And erm, I have Mozilla? I really don't have much downloaded on here.
Switeck
Nothing in any of those Guides have anything to do with my specific problemThe last post of the 1st link in my signature says "INFORMATION WE MIGHT NEED IF NOTHING ELSE HELPS".There's nobody to upload toYour picture doesn't tell me much about your uTorrent settings, if those torrents are from private trackers, if you're using wireless networking, or a whole horde of other things that might explain why you don't connect to peers.uTorrent's logger window/tab can be enabled to monitor connection attempts...which can be very helpful to know if most/all are failing there. Right-click in the window to enable things. I have enabled everything but the "verbose" stuff on mine.
Blind.Sniper
Hope this helps somewhat, or maybe I'm just retarded. Everything seems to not connect, lmao.

mary adkins
Hello i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Im having some problems getting the movies i have downloaded to play. Im not real sure what i need to do or what i havent done right but i need help.
Switeck
Blind.Sniper, your second picture has the yellow triangle at bottom...possibly hinting at uTorrent being blocked/firewalled by something. (A software firewall is most likely, but a modem-router or your router is another...)It's also possible those torrents are so dead that you no longer get ANY incoming connections for them.Try testing with the known-to-be-fast (downloading only!) torrents mentioned in 1st link in my signature. Blind.Sniper
I can download fine, but the thing is I want to upload files onto uTorrent and have them downloaded. In that picture the thing says no connection made, but I was messing with the settings. As of now it's green, and says "Network is OK."It keeps saying Peer Error: Offline(Timed Out)
Switeck
So your connection works (since the ubuntu torrent downloaded ok), you got the green light (unfirewalled in uTorrent) now, and there's nothing wrong with your uTorrent settings? Blind.Sniper
My connection says "OK" so yes, Ubuntu downloaded and I can seed it to other people once downloaded...But my upload refuse to be seeded/peered. It is green...Put my bandwidth at the correct speeds, enabled UPnP, randomized port is checked, firewall exception checked, NAT-PMP is checked too. DHT Network is checked, and it says I'm downloading 0.2KB's a second, and uploading 0.3KB's a second. I don't understand what it's uploading, but apparently it's doing something. I really have no clue what else to do, my virus protection is Norton but it's completely disabled(Inbound Firewall and every other setting, also put uTorrent under the firewall exception.)I've read every guide on how uTorrent is supposed to be, and I'm sure there is 1 thing going wrong which is making it seem impossible to do. Just cannot figure out what.
Switeck
Do you actually use both UPnP and NAT-PMP? Having both enabled can cause conflicts...sometimes.DHT uses bandwidth just by being active.Have you tried a public torrent with only a handful of seeds but lots of peers?...and by lots I mean 100+ peers.Cox may be throttling/disrupting the seeding of torrents but I doubt it's completely stopping seeding.Try checking DSL reports on the subject?http://www.dslreports.com/forums/all
Blind.Sniper
When I download something with a lot of seeds/peers, I upload it to them at around 1KB/second.Not sure what this means either.
Blind.Sniper
It solved itself, I am now uploading at 2 MB's a second, didn't do anything. Guess the torrent was just dead... Hmm.Although my seeds are not connecting..
Switeck
A high peer-to-seed ratio means you're unlikely to connect to seeds.
Blind.Sniper
Peers connect, but it pops up for 0.1KB's a sec then goes away, and then eventually the peer disconnects off the Torrent. It only downloaded my torrent once, at 2.0MB's an upload, but never again... I see a lot of peers connecting, then it pops up for 0.1kb's and leaves.
Switeck
Do the peers complete the handshake?(as shown in logger!)
Blind.Sniper
All I'm getting is "Peer Error: Offline(Time Out)"And "Disconnect: Connection Closed"
Switeck
Are these from incoming connections or outgoing connection attempts...or both?Because it's sounding like those torrents' trackers are reporting lots of dead ips and/or you still have a firewall seriously blocking uTorrent. Blind.Sniper
My only Firewalls are Windows, and Norton. I disabled and allowed all connections between both of those.
Switeck
Disabled Norton by uninstalling it? Anything less doesn't rule it out unfortunately.
