zlkc
In the Windows version, there are "Proxy Privacy" under the "Proxy Server" settings, including :* Disable all local DNS lookup* Disable features that leak identifying information* Disable connections unsupported by the proxy Are these features implemented in the Linux version, build 23090 ? Or they will be available in the future versions ?Is the current version safe enough to protect my privacy if I have a "safe" proxy and have all the utorrent settings correctly set ? zlkc
I checked the build 23090 passes the test on http://checkmytorrentip.com, even when connection to proxy fails (Does this means 100% privacy safe ?)I found one problem with the utorrent linux : when the connection to the proxy server fails (e.g. wrong password), utorrent's CPU usage becomes very high, and my server almost does not respond. mcdonald
* Disable features that leak identifying informationIf you give me a specific list of features potentially leaking identifying information' date=' I can look at those.[/quote']My mistake - I got distracted. The private_ip setting is associated with the Disable features that leak identifying information check box in the Connection tab of the Preferences dialog. It is implemented in revision 23418 and is probably implemented in the previous release (23090) since I don't recall that code being changed recently.
