chaud3
Hey guys,Ever since I upgraded my internet (Rogers Ultimate 50mbps dwn 2 mbps up) it came with a Docsis 3 'N' modem with a built in router and whenever I use a torrent program to download my connection is disrupted every 5-10 minutes. I've tried Vuze and uTorrent but seem to have the same results with either app.I had just regular 10mbps internet before with my own dlink router and use to download all the time with no issues whatsoever.I can't seem to figure out why it happens. I have a faster better connection with more bandwidth and a stronger router but for some reason only when I open a torrent application does it seem to disconnect every devices connection to the internet in the household. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ports i'm using? I'm not to familiar with how to play around with that so any help would be appreciated. I have a HP windows 7 laptop. Thanks In Advance! DreadWingKnight
It has to do with the combination modem/router that they gave you and the fact that either it, or its settings, are conflicting directly with torrent activity.Functions like Stateful Packet Inspection firewalls and other related functionality can directly cause this issue.
