If you only use WebUI on your local network, and don't expose it to the wider internet, here's how you can bypass the username/password prompt.

In this example, the username is "admin" and password is "secret".

1) Create a shortcut to the WebUI with the username and password in the URL, e.g.

http://admin:secret@utorrentcomputer:8080/gui/

2) Count the number of characters in the URL (46 for the above) and using about:config, create a new Integer key "network.http.phishy-userpass-length" with a value 1 greater than this, i.e. 47.

Done! No more password prompt.

If you don't set a password, then omit the ":secret" portion of the URL above, i.e.:

http://admin@utorrentcomputer:8080/gui/

Using the above method without a password can confuse some browser features (I can't even remember what thy were now!), so if funny things start to happen then use a password.

This Firefox extension uses the Firefox password manager (or preferences if you are less security conscious) to remember your admin login details and you can automatically open the webui from your tools menu or by clicking on the uTorrent icon without having to re-enter the password or see a dialog asking for it. It was written for Linux but may well work in Windows too.
