Error message when adding torrent from Downloads folder

Recommended Posts

I've downloaded a new Bittorrent interface to my new computer & I downloaded one file off the internet so it would create the "Downloads" folder. I then transferred my unfinished files that I'm in the middle of downloading (very few seeds & takes awhile) to the Downloads folder. If I go back to the torrent site where I originally downloaded the file, it opens up the program & continues to download the file where the previous program left off on my old computer...so far, so good. But this will be a cumbersome process to do for each file. So instead I click the "add torrent" icon & select a file & hit "open" & I get a Bittorrent error box that says, "Unable to load" then lists the file name & says "Not enough storage is available to process this command!"

This can't be right because I have 350 gigs of free space & I have 4 gigs of RAM with no other programs running. Can someone help?

Thanks,

Bob

That's normal, µT (or BT) opens only .torrent files, not the related files themself.

To reload the torrents into µT, follow http://user.utorrent.com/documentation/migrate (and the chapter about autoloading).

Remember the torrent history and settings are stored in the folder %appdata%\utorrent. So next time just back up this folder to migrate properly.
