dogmata
I am using a vpn and a proxy (BTguard) for utorrent. So far if the torrent only has a tpb or openbittorrent tracker utorrent is unable to connect and never downloads. I get a variety of errors but main ones are "Proxy error: network unreachable" for openbittorrent and "connection closed by peer" for tpb.If there is a tracker for the torrent that is not tpb or openbittorrent then it works fine and downloads, it just seems that these two are blocked. If I try same torrent with a different instance of utorrent that does not use a proxy the trackers still fail to connect (openbittorrent times out and tpb "no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.").Any ideas for a work around? DreadWingKnight
thepiratebay closed their trackers completely. Period. Nothing can fix that.openbittorrent has made changes to their tracker (for the worse in my opinion) that may be causing the issue. In short, nothing in uTorrent is misbehaving. Switeck
Remove udp trackers unless your proxy supports that type!
isepiq
I noticed that udp trackers sometimes work with BTGuard, & sometimes not on my systems. Unless they are the old trackers that no longer exist, I leave the udp as I never know when they are going to make a connection or not.IMHOisepiq:cool:
Firon
UDP trackers -should- be proxied correctly through BTGuard.
isepiq
The VPN service or the Proxy Service or both from BTGuard?
Switeck
Only uTorrent v2.2 and later MIGHT send udp trackers through a udp-supporting proxy.Earlier uTorrent versions will certainly *NOT* send udp trackers through any proxy, although a complete VPN of your connection would probably work.
