Negative peers

Running v2.0.4. I had uTorrent running on two machines, and was apparently over the 50 torrent maximum. I rebooted both machines and restarted uTorrent only on one. Everything appears to be fine now, except that I am showing negative peers for about half my open torrents. Also, the number of seeds is showing within 1 of 15 for every open torrent (about 20) - that is, it shows:

15(251)

15(799)

15(774)

15(871)

14 (43)

...

Everything seems to be downloading properly, but since this is new and odd behavior I wondered if anyone else had seen anything like this.

I'm not at all sure what that means. I'm not new to uTorrent but I'm far from a technical expert. Almost everything I do is from TVTorrents, so the trackers all originate there, but AFAIK they aren't the same tracker - how would I figure this out?

Note that 100% of peers now show as negative, but downloads are still working fine.

The "Negative peers" problem is a bug on the tracker side, not a problem in uTorrent.

Please don't think I'm an ingrate, as I always appreciate advice, but since this suggestion was made in the first reply (one that I didn't fully understand), repeating it isn't helpful. I'd very much like to understand more of the mechanics of this.

Since I've used TVTorrents almost exclusively, and this is the first time I've seen this, I have to assume that something has changed in the composition of the trackers. I'll see if anyone on the TVTorrents forums has any suggestions.

Well, that clears it all up. :(

I guess I should repeat in every post that I do *not* (at all) understand the internal workings of uTorrent, and every time I post here I get replies that make me feel like an idiot. That's not your fault; in this case, I *am* an idiot. But given that,

The problem stems from the announce reply that they're sending out including scrape information that gives a negative value for the peercount.
is clearly not going to do me any good.

Thanks for trying, though. I guess that there are cases where you just can't simplify something enough for a normal human to understand it.
