bugmenot2
After updating to 2.2, I had the blue screen of death on Windows 7 (unrelated to uTorrent, I was fiddling with display drivers). But when I restarted Windows and uTorrent, every single torrent was gone! All of them!So what the hell do I do? (Preferably something which doesn't involve manually adding and re-checking hundreds of torrents and hundreds of gigabytes of data.)

bugmenot2
I don't mean the actual files, they're all still there, both .torrent and data.

bugmenot2
That'll just re-add them, but won't save me hours of rechecking, tagging, changing trackers, setting limits, torrent and file priorities, etc.. Not to mention half of the info columns (like up/downloaded, ratio, added on, completed on) will be completely useless.
moogly
Next time save the folder %appdata%\utorrent regularly, it contains torrent history and settings. You can try to rename a bad resume.dat into resume.dat and restart µT but if the backup copy is corrupt, you need to follow the guide. Daysaver
Hi, Updated to µTorrent2.2 yesterday , everything fine. Had a power-cut about twenty minutes ago - just for a few seconds - and when I restarted µTorrent all my torrents were 'gone'. Guess I'll have to take a look at http://user.utorrent.com/documentation/migrate as well. Hope it doesn't happen too often:)
Daysaver
That was easy! Luckily I only had half a dozen torrents totaling about 4Gb to do but thanks to moogly for the reply to the original post.
denise17
All Torrents disappeared on me also. All was fine after intalling the new version but when I rebooted the computer all my torrents were gone. One torrent I had uploaded 976 Gig since 2008 and was aiming for one Terrabyte but now all data is gone. New version is Not cool I did notice some improvement from the old version. I can now browse the net without having to pause all torrents as before nothing would load.
strix
This problem just suddenly appeared for me too: After downloading successfully for several years, now when I opened µTorrent the page of downloadings was entirely blank! (And, yes, I have had one or two crashes, but that didn't stop µTorrent from functioning perfectly before!)I have checked, and all the settings are still correct - AND the previously downloading, but not yet completed files are still there, entirely intact - but why don't they show up on µTorrent any longer? How do I get them back, so that I can continue the downloads? And, yes, I have read through the previous postings to this thread, but can't find anything that really helps: I'm old (73!), but generally reasonably technical (I spend a lot of time on my computer), but if you could suggest any solution in easily understandable terms, I would be most grateful! strix
And, by the way, I am using the most recent version of µTorrent (2.0.4)!
strix
By the way, I had one large download which was almost complete, and which I therefore particularly did not want to lose, so I looked for it again on Pirate Bay, and entered its details again in utorrent - and utorrent picked up the old download file straight away from where it was saved, and is now busy checking it, before finishing the download.Sigh of relief! But do I have to do this for all the other partial downloads I have? Still, it might be a simpler option than the other suggestions I have read, which involve quite complicated operations for an old man, even though they are said to be simple...
