My torrent don't work after update!!!! Helpppppppppppppppppp plzzzzz

I used torrent for long time, I like it, but today when i opened my torrent, its said that new version is available, and i can download it. So I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that fcking version fcked up all! :mad: :mad: :mad: !! now my downloads don't go higher then 60kb/s :mad: :mad: :mad: ..... b4 it was like 600-800 kb/s.... I even deleted the new version and downloaded the old one, but now it don't work too!!!!!!!!! I already spend more then 4 hours searching how to fix it, but i didn't find anything!!!! I need help !!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( If that helps, im using windows 7. oh yes, it was lagging my normal internet, (like it was downloading 60kb/s and i could not use Firefox, it would load for ever :S )

Your settings are very weird, especially 1 kB/s as max UL limit!

With your max UL speed at 940 Kbit/s, you can test the lines 900 kbit/s or 1 mbit/s.

I changed the settings, but it didn't help, i still have very low download .

i have 50 seeds and 4 peers and my download only 50 kb/s.. sometimes go to 100

I've reinstalled my torrent and now my internet work sooo slow if torrent on. How can i fix it???? I cannot use internet while torrent on, it will say connection time out :S, 1 page loads soo slow, so i have to turn off my torrent every time i use internet :S.

Did you check the UL/DL stats? No throttling from Comcast?

no no, the setting u told me, didn't help. but internet was fine. I tried to reinstall the torrent, and then my internet started lagging :S.

How can i check UL/DL, and what is comcast?? :S

Sorry, Rogers Cable, your ISP (not Comcast).

And try to download a torrent from OOo: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ to see if you get the max DL speed.

I have been using uTorrent a long time on XP. Now I have a laptop with windows 7 Home Premium.

uT loads up successfully, but when I try to search from uT, nothing happens. I opened up isohunt in my browser, selected a torrent which downloads well enough. Can any one tell me why this happens?

I installed a virtual machine with XP on the same laptop and uT works fine including the search function.

I had the same isuue with utorrent version 2.2 i read all the speed related stickys and changed every seting on my pc :mad: I ended up reinstalling windows 7 and dowgraded to utorrent 2.04 and now download is 900kB/s + hehehe! and i can actually browse the internet while downloading torrents , my netbook has the same issue i hope i dont have to reinstall that :mad: seems 2.2 dies after a few days

It seems that the newer version produced lots of problems, especially speed and downloading problems. Well, my advice to you is go back to version 2.04 until they solve these problems or give a viable advice on how to tackle those hick ups. This is what I did. In any case and for any software, before you upgrade save your previous version setup.exe so you can downgrade when problems occur that cannot be solved by you. This is what I always did and I had peace of mind. Downgrading is better and quicker than re-installing the OS.

thx for advice, now i will do same thing :S. but i have problem any way. i dowloaded old version of torrent, and it didn't help T_T, my speed low on any torret T_T

Did you try with a fresh µT profile?

Back up the entire folder %appdata%\utorrent then delete all its contents.

Start uT and download a test torrent from OOo (like Win/OOo3.2.0/Eng) then report your DL speed.

I tested and I reached my max DL speed (620 kB/s).
