IulianRD
My name is Iulian and I am from Romania. At first, excuse me for my English language..I have a new Linksys router WRT 160NL and I have a "little" problem.Let's say that I am starting to download a file, with uTorrent (download speed 9-10 MB/s). Immediately I start my Skype and my Yahoo Messenger. After few seconds, internet connection failed. After I disable and enable my network card my internet connection starts … but only for few second. The same situation is when I start uTorrent in the same time with the online game Metin2 GX (my boy's preferred game). This situation ONLY exist when uTorrent is downloading. When uTorrent is uploading doesn't happened this things. For my Linksys I have the latest firmware.. and operating system is Windows 7 (64 bits)I Login to the Router setup page and change the MTU size to 1365, and also have opened the ports (port forward for port1000) on your Router for utorrentuTorrent is making me bad days ... I started Yahoo Messenger, Skype, an local online radio station, an online game (Metin2 GX), some internet URL and everything is OK ... after I started and uTorrent the connection crashI have to mention that, when I put the internet wire/cable directly on my computer the situation is OK ... all are working perfect ... all application I motioned are working OK and the uTorrent is downloading with 10MB/s ... Please, teach me what settings I have to do on my uTorrent and/or into my router for avoid this situations..Thank you and best regards,.Iulian

IulianRD
Last night, I simulated the same conditions on the my son computer ... I started uTorrent, I started to download a file ... when it arrived at 6-7 MB/s, I turned Skype, Yahoo Messenger, an online game, an online radio station ... SURPRISE ... COMPUTER NOT LOST THE INTERNET CONNECTION ... I returned to my computer ... I repeated the situation ... INTERNET CONNECTION CRASH ... I disabled Kaspersky, I uninstalled almost all applications that may be related to the Internet ... nothing ... The only major difference is that my son has installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, AND I HAVE 64-bit.Tonight I will install a new Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit ... and I will repeat the same situation ... I am very interested in what happensThis may be the problem?
moogly
You can try these settings for the bandwidth and queueing in uT:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58404 (line 1.5 Mb/s in your case)
GTHK
The forceware network access manager is a known problem application and needs to be uninstalled.Did you try this?
IulianRD
Finally, I solved the problem. I replaced windows 7 - 64 bit with Windows 7 - 32 bits. Now I can download files in uTorrent and, at the same time, I can use the internet files, can have Yahoo Messenger, Skype or online applications (games and radio stations).Internet connectyions remains stable, it is not interrupted. So the problem was somewhere in the operating system, which was not compatible with uTorrent or vice versa.I don't know yet, if the problem is with the Linksys router or with the uTorrent.*******************************So, I ask those who have Windows 7, to try to simulate the same conditions I mentioned, to see if it really a problem. Then, the professionals who manage uTorrent, can take appropriate measures.Good look,Iulian
DreadWingKnight
Probably comes down to the networking drivers for your primary network adapter being improper for 64-bit.
