cant update u torrent need help here ?

hi every 1 ive just updated to the new version of u torrent version 2.2 build 23703 im running windows 7 premium 64 bit. now i uninstalled my old version and put the new build on as i thought this was the problem when i couldent update it but now when i click on check for updates it tells me unable to contact u torrent update server. thats why i thought id do fresh install but looks like this wasent the case. when i installed i checkmarked the box that said allow excemption for windows firewall as thats the only firewall i use is the built in one on windows so not sure if i should av removed the checkmark i doubt thats what it is though. so can u please advise me on why its telling me this i no i have the latest version but i clicked that just to make sure you know.

yes i have latest version peerguard installed but thats for my privacey when i download i use winmx as well and was recomended it wen i download stops ur ip viewing what u download is that right or do i need something else 4 u torrent 4 privacey

ok im still getting the message its come back now saying cant update u torrent unable to connect to update server ive tried disableing peer guarding compltly it still does it so its not peer guardian doing it. i made new post as this was ? about peer guardian sorry if i shouls av stuck to the same thread but this i thought was diffrent cause i mentioned peer guardian and not u torrent but i supose its all on same subject neva the less. so what can i do from here now as wen i click on update thats the message im getting it says unable to contact u torrent update server. and i was told peer guardian can protect u when downloading at least thats what i was told wen i use winmx unless its just 4 that programme p2p that is. so is there 1 i can use with u torrent and if so is it free thx again.

No it doesn't protect you like that, and no there's nothing that does.

I also have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware installed and it was blocking the update server for some reason. I just added the update server's IP on the ignore list (67.215.246.203 - update.utorrent.com). Works like a charm!

In the tray (next to the clock) right-click on the Malwarebytes' tray icon (the red "M"). Add to ignore list is there and select the correct IP address.

hi ryan i see where u mean now on malware bytes the problem being the ignore feature is greyed out would this be because i have a cracked version of malware bytes as i have the pro version i did try uninstalling malware bytes to see if i could go back to the free version but cause i cracked the pro version i cant now. what can i do now from here ryan

in other words if i did uninstall reinstall it would just automaricallly put the pro version back even if i did install just the basic free version u see ryan
