wolowitz
Hi folksinternet reception dropped from home after I moved, now trying from a portable install in college...poxy proxies etctried the setup guide after install (liking the new client version by the way) but Bandwidth test fails but gives no reason and network results in port not being open although it says "(you are still able to download)" with a yellow tick.I have altered connection settings for type http to proxy.collegedomain.tld and port 8080 and ticked authentication and specified my network logon and pass.this resulted in the availability bar turning from solid red to solid blue and getting a connecteed to 2seeds (out of 5000) and no peers (out of 200), the connection icon stayed yellow triangle and the dl is VERY slow (especially for our T1 backbone!!)Maybe I need some other settings set? not even very sure what the other checkboxes are for in the connections panel and whether or not these would help...??any help with this is much appreciated
Switeck
A shared T-1 line would not be terribly fast:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-carrierBreaking through a restrictive firewall may be impossible for uTorrent even when using a proxy.Ask others (who presumably succeeded) how they did it.I'm pretty sure UPnP and NAT-PMP both won't do you any good...so they probably should be disabled.
