motley667
Hi, i have some simple questions regarding upload speeds. DHT changes all the time, from green to yellow exclamation mark to nothing. Firewall exception for utorrent is enabled, results from speed test show normal upload and d/l speed for my connection, port is open (it changes often, but i change it through the webpage of my isp, otenet and i save the changes, to see the current, i go to "run", i press cmd and ipconfig/all, you know). Do you think it's my router's fault? It's a baudtec and as a brand, i've been told by an employee of otenet that is not so good (no wonder they give it for free). I try to seed some of my torrents and i seed just occasionally. I did a test, i tried to download one of my own uploads and i was downloading just fine, normally. Then i tried to upload the very same torrent and i was getting the following: seeds 0 of 0 connected and 1 in swarm, peers 0 of 1 connected and 0 in swarm. I wonder why i couldn't seed. I hope you can help, thank you for your time.
Switeck
Are you getting tracker error messages? If so, what are they?(You can highlight and copy text from that to make things easier to show.)
motley667
I'd also like to mention that there are specific torrents which i want to seed that show this: "seeds 0 of 0 connected and 1 in swarm, peers 0 of 1 connected and 0 in swarm". These numbers never change for them, i tried from the pc at office and i got the same results. I had an improvement though, one of these torrents started seeding eventually and i think that after i unchecked upnp and nat, situation seems a bit better, i mean, in general. Uploading while dowloading works at 35 kb/s, good speed for my connection. So, i have placed many trackers but half of them work. The ones that don't work right now are the following (i deleted them):http://tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce, no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused itudp://tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce, connection timed outhttp://inferno.demonoid.com:3404/announce, torrent deleted or not in pool yethttp://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce, offline (timed out)http://fr33dom.h33t.com:3310/announce, unregistered torrentSince yesterday, DHT stays green for longer. Switeck
All those trackers are failing for various reasons that have nothing to do with your end.Remove them!Replace with:http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce
motley667
The tracker that you mention is on my list, thanks. Do you believe that if every tracker works (i will keep only 5 specific that work all the time as i have noticed) situation will improve?
Switeck
uTorrent would otherwise attempt to connect to the dead trackers on EVERY started torrent if you left them unchanged, so I cannot imagine conditions being WORSE with working trackers...DHT and PEX may be necessary to find peers+seeds on public torrents that did not include working trackers of its own. Adding replacement trackers only helps if others add the SAME trackers.
