Fluctuating download/upload speed

Hi,

I've noticed a very strange behaviour since updating to the latest version of µTorrent (v. 1.0.2).

When I'm using a torrent my download speed fluctuates between 1.5-1.6MB/s and 10-20kB/s.

I've yet to do any serious troubleshooting (such as deleting AppData and .plist, as well as downgrading to see if issue persists) but I noticed a strange thing.

When I opened up Activity Monitor to check the network traffic I noticed that coinciding with the drop in download speed the upload increased, sometimes to more than 2MB/s.

µTorrent doesn't report anything near that much in upload speed. Naturally I thought it must be related to some other process but after trying to close a few processes I though might be related nothing happened. When closing µTorrent though the uploads stopped and immediately upon opening the program they started.

I've tried isolating to any specific torrent or tracker but no dice, it's the same for all. Only occurs while I have torrents active though, if their all stopped I don't get the upload.

Hopefully the above picture works so you can see how closely related the upload/download issue is.

I'm thankful for any tips regarding how to solve it (other than the .plist/downgrade alternatives, if any of those fix it I will report back)
