Hi all,

I have tweeked my UTorrent for the best speeds that i can, and i want to know if i can stretch the upload speeds a bit further than i have at the moment ?

I ran a test at speedtest.net and got these results:

Ping: 21ms

Download Speed: 9.25Mb/s

Upload Speed: 0.87Mb/s

I also ran a speedtest in the setup guide of UTorrent and got these results:

Upload: 943.71Kbit/s (115.1KB/s)

Download: 9.18Mbit/s (1.0MB/s)

UTorrent Bandwidth Configuration:

Upload Limit: 0 ( I changed this from 90KB/s to 0 )

Upload Slots: 6

Connections (per-torrent): 100

Connections (global): 450

Max Active Torrents: 6

Max Active Downloads: 5

*I was uploading/seeding one torrent last night to test the speed and was only getting between 85-100KB/s with the above settings, is there a way that i can max my speed, because i have read forums including here, where they say that they can get their speeds around 300+KB/s, i want to max my upload speed to give the best download speeds for who ever downloads my torrents, plz help !

@Switeck

I used your 1mbit/s settings and for "bt.connect_speed" I chose 4 and changed the "Max Upload Rate" to 92.0KB/s instead of "0", and then I tested one torrent for a couple of hours and got constant perfect stability at 92.0KB/s Upload.

Thx for your help, I appreciate it :D

bt.connect_speed is how fast to make OUTGOING (but not incoming) connection attempts to other peers/seeds PER second. Even 1 per second is not "slow" factored over a 1 hour period.

Try raising upload speed limit little-by-little (~1-5 KB/sec for 5-15 minutes at a time) till it quits being stable. Then use the highest stable point as the while not downloading (only seeding) upload speed limit.
