Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to look at my post, I will try to be as brief and to the point as I can,

What I am trying to do - I have a 7mbit connection (up and down) at work that I would like to use for torrenting. However, torrents do not work.

What I have done - I have created a SSH tunnel from work to home and can successfully download, through the tunnel. However, I do not want to do that because i am essentially just uploading from my home to work, (I have a bandwidth cap with large overage fees I am trying to dodge here haha) which doesnt make alot of sense for my end goal; which is to use my work connection for all the upload/download and use my tunnel for all the TCP negotiations with tracker etc.

Current uTorrent connection settings:

Proxy settings

Type: Socks5

Proxy: Localhost

Port: 8080

use proxy for hostname lookups checked.

The torrent will successfully talk with the tracker and is in status working however I have a yellow triangle icon near the bottom right of uTorrent that says 'no incoming connections'

What I think - I am probably not forwarding as many ports as I should... I was hoping that once my work laptop was able to talk to the tracker I would get lucky and the ports that utorrent uses to establish downloads/uploads would be open, but i guess not.

Does anyone have any ideas? or is what I am trying to do not possible?

Much thanks for any help you guys can provide me!
