motley667 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 I am downloading a torrent that has no seeders, 0 of 0 connected - 0 in swarm. I connect to some peers and i have almost half the file since yesterday. Speed varies from 150 kb/sec to none. Do you think i should keep trying or abort my attempt? I ask this because i am thinking that if i get pieces of files from the peers connected to me, will they be able to give me all the pieces since there is no seeder that has all of them? About the fact that speeds drops to zero and goes up again all the time makes me think that the other peers share pieces i don't have and when they get them, speed goes up and they give them to me. I don't know if i got it right, that's why i am asking
Switeck Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 There may be an invisible seed (probably running super seed/initial seed mode) on the torrent which is slowly sending out completed pieces. If availability is above 1, keep the torrent running, otherwise you can only wait and see if you want to...
motley667 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 Availability is 0.482. I got your point, thank you.
