uTorrent 2.2 doesn't start minimized to tray on system start

I've upgraded to 2.2 recently and this problem appeared: when windows starts, uTorrent starts and it starts maximized, instead of minimized to tray. I haven't changed any settings. The previous version just worked fine.

It happens on all my computers:

1) windows vista business x32 Sp2

2) windows 7 starter

3) windows 7 ultimate x32

same problem here,.. mine is xp sp3 and vista home premium.. also doesnt show tray icon.. but still downlods fine i think :|

in my case tray icon is shown, just running maximized.

They shouldn't have to change GUI framework just to follow the fashion. uTorrent was great programm even with the previous interface. Now they have to learn how to defeat the bugs of new framefork...

yeah, it's working alright but it's annoying not having the icon in the tray. also, it starts maximized but maybe i got that one fixed with /minimized option through command line... so, any chance of having that icon appear on the tray? ;-)

Does anybody know the solution? Is it really a bug? How I can fix it? This is already beginning to get tired. How I can return to my old version?

I am using Windows 7 and had the same problem.

My solution:

1. Go to utorrent icon on the Desktop or program directory

2. Right Mouse button => Properties

3. Go to "Compatibility" menu

4. Under "Compatibility mode" select

Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows Vista (Service pack 2)

Then "Apply" => "OK"

5. Restart the application

The same here but for me worked only the following:

1. Right Mouse button on the utorrent icon and select 'Properties'

2. Go to 'Shortcut' tab

3. Under 'Run' select 'Minimized'
