uTorrent freezes, locks system

In the past few days, every time I run uTorrent, it runs fine for a few minutes, then freezes. I can force quit the program, but them most of my system is locked, and I'm forced to restart. I am running the latest version of uTorrent, I believe it was just updated recently, in the past few weeks if I remember correctly.

Edit: I just noticed, in my Downloads folder there are all the .torrent files that are normally deleted, however they have a .imported added to the end.

Edit2: I just downloaded BitTorrent, fresh install, imported a few torrents (ones I've downloaded since after the problem started), and it ran fine for a few minutes, but eventually froze the same as uTorrent.
