Xfering Torrents To New Computer

Hello, I am trying to transfer my torrents from one pc to a new one. I transferred the torrents from a file on the old pc to the same file on the new pc using the same disk and file names. I am using Utorrent program on both pc's. I read the help file on Utorrent but don't quite understand what it's saying to do. I tried doing a "Add Torrent" option but it would not reconize the file I choose as a torrent file. Can I get a little guidance. Thanks
