Evo-No-Revo
So, I installed 2.2. I was perfectly happy with I guess it was 2.1...anyway earlier version. Now uTorrent seems to be all up in my google searches. I uninstalled the toolbar. I really like this program but feel I have been hijacked so to speak. I am not a computer geek so I don't really have the proper terminology. I want my previous version back. Is that possible?

Evo-No-Revo
Yes, as I said I did totally remove the toolbar from my computer. The toolbar is gone. Now when I open a web page and highlight a word of interest and right click. It use to give the option to "Search Google for.... " Now it just says Search then the highlighted word and when you do it is a Bing search. So uTorrent has installed something on my computer that is hijacking this search feature. I would rather get rid of uTorrent than have them hijacking computer operations. I am very disappointed...Any suggestions?? I removed 2.2 and installed 2.0 but the search hijack is still happening. Evo-No-Revo
I know what Bing is and I know you can't install it. You can install software that hijacks my searches as describe with Bing.I use Firefox not IE.I have had this computer for about one year and had uTorrent for most of that time. A few minutes after updating to uTorrent 2.2 and using the search feature as I described, my searches were hijacked. It came with the 2.2 update.Like I said, thanks uTorrent. Firon
You chose to install it. There was a separate dialog asking if you wanted to install the Conduit browser bar.
Evo-No-Revo
Yea, I guess I missed that when I updated. I don't actually remember being asked about Conduit. I have already removed Conduit but still getting Binged. I will just take it to a buddy that will get rid of it I guess. It is obviously beyond my abilities and no one has given a usable answer yet..
