thelovemonk Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 I had this really bizzar incident earlier today. I had just started downloading a torrent when I got a message "Error Access Denied".At first I thought it might be because I had ran out of space on my HDD but that wasn't the case.Googled around a bit and found other people with similar issues but my problem was that 10 min before the incident I finished downloading several torrents and they worked fine.Anyways tried out the solutions to make sure the security settings were correct and I did have admin privilages (even though I am the admin). Unfortunately no luck.Tried several different torrents and the same problem then it hit me. The only thing that changed before I started to get this error was that I disabled the window that pops up everytime you add a torrent to utorrent and decided which files you want to download and where to save it.I decided to turn the window back on and eureka the torrents are working fine again.I was able to recreate the bug by turning off the window and trying a new torrent. A few seconds later I receive an Access Denied error. My specs.Windows XP Pro SP3P4 Cpu1 GB RamUtorrent 2.2 Build 23703
DreadWingKnight Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Then triple-check to make sure that the user account that is actually running the utorrent.exe process has full control over your default download directory as well as your settings directory.
thelovemonk Posted December 29, 2010 Author Report Posted December 29, 2010 Triple checked it.For some odd reason it only happens when I have the pop up window off.Going to try it out on another computer as soon as I can get hold of another one.
