XOIIO Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Hey everyone, new to the forums but not to uTorrent. Let me say a little about myself quickly. I am 16, and aspiring to be a programmer. I have already made several programs that are very useful, but this is about one in particular.I recently needed to find a torrent I had downloaded, but lost. I scoured the GUI for some sort of history viewer, but didn't see anything. I couldn't find an easy way to get at the utorrent history, but I found a way to access it eventually. This was an annoying proccess that would be too hard for some users, so I made a program to do it for you. It's called the uTorrent History Utility. It's simply a somewhat simple batch script compiled into an executalbe that lets you vide your utorrent history, make a batch file with the filenames and the time\date that they were used, copy all of the .torrent files from the hidden folder to one on your desktop, or delete all the .torrent files.I hopw some of you try it out and let me know what you think of it, the demo video and download link can be foundhere:
Ultima Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 So... it basically just looks at the .torrent files in %appdata%\uTorrent. Seems like it would be easier to just create a shortcut to %appdata%\uTorrent and be done with it.Also, this would fail completely if the user opted to remove .torrent files whenever they remove torrent jobs too.
XOIIO Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 Yes, but there are other files in the utorrent folder that probably should not be deleted, and I am working on a way to be able to copy a specific torrent, instead of all of them. This is just something for people to use if they want to.
