What are "Trackers" and how do I use them so people can get my existing music?

I've read several things over and over but still do not know quite how to go about making my existing library of mp3 accessable to others.

Who or what would you suggest that I use for a reliable and no nasty e-mails etc. tracker?

Any help greatly appreciated!

If you want to create a public torrent, just use the public 'classic' trackers like

http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce

http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce

http://tracker.prq.to/announce

For a private torrent, look at the FAQ of the private trackers/websites, they have their own announce.

And remember that bittorrent is NOT like traditional p2p networks. There is no shared-folder at the concept level. People only upload on specifically associated tasks.

They only have udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce working.
