dkPolo
Earlier today I set up WebUI as I needed to go out and won't be back for another week and left my laptop on the net so I could remotely set up torrents and check up on my seeding tasks.I enabled the feature added a username and password and tested it via:http://localhost:8080/gui/ - and it works perfectlyNow I'm out of the office and want to monitor my seeding tasks I visit the panel via:http://myip:8080/gui/ and get a blank page.Am I required to set something up in my routers admin panel? or could their be something else blocking it. lithopsian
Do you have an external IP address for the laptop? By that I mean not the 192.168... one. If so then you need to male sure the network at the office and your router at home both allow traffic through on port 8080. That would normally be enough. dkPolo
Yeah I use an external one, 115.ect which is static (never changes).I reckon the router at the office doesn't allow traffic via port 8080. I reckon that's the problem. I'll go to the office and properly test it before I leave. Thanks for your help . I'll probably even enable the routers admin panel outside of the network. So I can make changes if any further problems.
lithopsian
You can change the port to pretty much anything you like. Find one that is open at work and I assume you can open anything you want at home.
