sumasage
First of all, i did read the FAQ section it said "If you want to manually make a download go into a seed-only mode, you can skip all the files in the torrent, and after a minute or so, it should start seeding. It's not instant because it has to finish up the last few queued pieces." I went into the torrent, click the files tabs and highlight all the parts > right click > clicked on Dont Download option. Now in the priority of the all the files it said skip but after about 5 mins wait, the torrent is still downloading at 40+kb. How can i set it so that i can seed what i've downloaded on an unfinish download task? Thanks for the help.
Ultima
Have you tried stopping the torrent and trying that again?
sumasage
yes i did. After making all the status to "skip" i close uTorrent and run it again after a few mins. Same result.
DreadWingKnight
If you want an unfinished torrent that is still downloading to truly seed, you need to complete it.If you already have the files, you need to hash check.
Firon
It takes a while, it's normal. It finishes all the incomplete pieces.
sumasage
so there's not ways to seed an unfinish torrent with uTorrent?
DreadWingKnight
It's unfinished. By definition you aren't a seed.
Firon
sumasage: skip all the files and be patient.
sumasage
[quoting the previous post is spam - quote removed]will try that....thanks
Firon
When you skip all the files, it finishes all the in-progress pieces before switching into seeding mode. It takes a bit longer now because µT starts a lot more pieces (because of the rare piece priority thing)
