Explanations on magnet links !

Hey guys !

I take the time to wrote because I want some explanations on how does magnet links works.

I read some articles and understood some things :

- a magnet link contain a coded hash of the file to download

- a magnet link is just a text line, not a file

- a magnet link is enough to start a download

but I can't understand HOW does my torrent client is supposed to know who to ask in first, using DHT, to find seeders. I mean, with no tracker, how can the client know where to find help ?

Maybe I misunderstood something, that's why I want a precise and clean explain please.

Thx for the link, but I can't figure how did the client know which seed is actually connected and have this file in particular. I mean there is no IP's contained in the magnet.

DHT does the trick.
