Sudden problem

Boy this is frustrating. So I have been using utorrent and my current ISP for a year or so (since I moved by myself) and I haven't had any speed problems, mainly cause this ISP is very stable. All of a sudden I can't download anymore, the speeds drop to 1-5 and stay there no matter what.

I've noticed other posts like this, and they get "have you checked this and that", but why would I when it has been working fine for a year? If I had made any changes I could get that, but this is just sudden which makes me wonder what the hell it is. My ISP says everything seems fine, speeds on non-torrents are good.

Also when I did the setup guide in utorrent it failed a lot, something like local networking error.. makes me think something pops me in and out of connection, hence the slow speeds? Reminds me of a old wireless issue, although I don't use WLAN anymore.

Anyone have a clue? thanks in advance.

Hm this is definitely weird if you ask me. I did the setup connection guide for fun, and I used the example torrent there to test (slackware) where I capped at 1.9/2mbit (2000kbps) which is my max, slight spiking at first but then it capped and stayed there. The weird thing is the other torrents still won't go up in speed. I noticed that my Up speeds are very good on the torrents, like 50kbps (100 is my max, but I've limited it in utorrent), so the only problem here is down speeds.

I am actually getting better speeds after adjusting settings, but they still spike like hell and seem to struggle to stay up. Like mentioned this is a new issue which hasn't been present in a entire year until now, which also makes me question why doing the setup would make a difference.. it's worked before without doing anything.

I have probs too.

Everything has been working fine with 2.2 connecting through a proxy then yesterday any proxy no longer works i.e. won't connect to trackers
