Having utorrent open is lagging my internet

Hello,

For the past 3 months or so ive always left utorrent on in the background seeding with no problems at all.

In the past week it has been completely lagging out my internet, web pages taking forever to load, games timing out etc. Im 100% sure its utorrent as when i close it, the problems disappear.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?
