GruziiC Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 Hi everyone ... this is my first post here,so be forgiving for my mistakes and crappy english my question ... i just thinking about moving from WinXp to Win 7 Pro ...so i was wondering is there anyway to keep seeding uTorrent files i have now ,after installing my new system ...My uTorrent files are located on seperate HDD ,not on same as sysHdd ... i have read some posts about similar problem ,but didnt get the full picture ... should i just make backup for Documents and Settings\GruziiC\Application Data\uTorrent folder,and after reinstalling windows just copy it to new uTorrent folder in same directory ?! moogly Posted January 28, 2011 Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 Yes, just back up the folder %appdata%\utorrent.If the paths are the same after the OS upgrade, µT should resume the torrent jobs.You can use this freeware (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306) to edit resume.dat if that doesn't work (always keep a backup copy).
