ThisIsIndexed
Hey guys,I'm looking for a little help with my upload speed. It never goes above 10 kB/s, which is aggravating because I can download at 300 kB/s, but I'm forever seeding it. Also, it's important to note that it used to go right up to the limit, but not any more. That was a few months ago now.I went over to dslreports, checked my upload speed, it says 513 kB/s. Fine, I plugged that number into the setup guide, and got my upload limit of 46 kB/s, but it still never goes above 10. I've got my port correctly forwarded to my router, and my firewall is in check. At first I thought my bandwidth was being choked by something else on my computer like malware, but that's not the case. I'm running Peerblock, and in the log it shows every few minutes or so it shows an outgoing packet being blocked because of the address it was being sent to, but if I block HTTP, it blocks traffic going to some company called archer communications. It sounded pretty hokey, so I checked it out and it turns out I had a trojan sending information back to a server. Good thing I have Peerblock. So anyway, I ran spyware doctor, and cleaned out a couple of threats, but it's still super slow.I checked my active ports in TCPview, and there's nothing suspicious going on. I wish I knew what to do.I'm hoping somebody here can provide a little insight as to what's going on with my connection.
