µTorrent 3.0 64-bit experimental 25570

minimize bug is still there in build 25570.

utorrent starts minimized in the windows taskbar instead of just the tray icon like it used to be if it is set to start mimimized and minimize to tray is not set.

That's not a bug... turn on minimize to tray if you want it to minimize to tray.

Hello. I just installed uTorrent 3.0 build 25406 on Windows 7 Home Prem x64' date=' and it automatically starts fullscreen at boot both with or without /MINIMIZED in the registry. /HIDE also won't work at all. Creating a desktop shortcut with /MINIMIZED also no effect at all. Wtf?

UPD. Native x64 build worked fine. Solved.[/quote']

Hello again. I updated uTorrent x64 to 3.0 build 25422 and AGAIN it won't start with Windows minimized. What could be done?

UPD. Clear install needed. Update causes that bug. Solved.

We were working on issues with minimized in the mainline 32-bit client and had fixed them there recently. Those fixes are now in the 64-bit client as well, so please check it out.

The new minified torrent list is still chunky and slow, about 2x the CPU usage compared to the old list from 2.2.1 with roughly the same columns being displayed. It maxes out a whole core and becomes slightly sluggish to scroll.

The patch from June made it a little more responsive, but it's nowhere near 2.2.1 speed.

Still the problem from previous build while highlighting many items in Files tab.

UT drops selection and after ~1-3 sek, ut drops 50% of all selection.

Very annoying, when you should disable downloading of many many files in one torrent download, and left only one.

problem of not being able to select files in torrents with lots of files still happens with 25570 - only when sorting by first part and parts works ok

25422 still didn't detected 25570 update

Also, updating when utorrent is running doesn't work - tried several times to open from ie9 64 and after dl nothing happens; after closing it, updated first time

runnning win7 x64

Problem with Disk activity 100%.

On X86 version - work without problems :/

Configured like here http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/windows/107637/

On X86 using windows cache, it overloads hdd too.

But on this options works fine. Even on 11.2 MB/s

I don't see such a big difference with X64 screen shot.

But why it overloads the hard on both cachings? :/

UPDATE: Hm.. Mistake :/ New X86 overloads hdd too. on 3.2-3.5 MB/s

On prev builds it worked quite fine.. :/

I don't think that my HDD cannot read-write on 10 MBytes..

Keep in mind that hard drives are VERY slow for random I/O, which is what torrents do. Throughput is miserable when reading and writing randomly. So you need some heavy caching to let the hard drive keep up.

Try these settings. This is what I use for about 7-10mbyte/s.

Hm. What about bt.sequential_download, if disk is defragmented and optimized, when reserving space for downloading file?

It'll write file piece to piece. And has it any of cons regarding to speed or etc?
