jwolfgang
It allows me to select torrents. They appear as though they are downloading, but it just shows the thousands of seeders available. It never actually allows me to connect with any of them. I just updated my uTorrent from the old version. I didnt change any settings. I checked in my settings for running the tests and I can't get the green check mark for bandwidth or connection. I looked down through everything and it all looks to be right. What can I do? I'd just rather have the old version!!!!!

jwolfgang
Just regular old Norton. It never gave me any problems with the other version of uTorrent.
DreadWingKnight
Re-do the rules in it for uTorrent or remove it.
jwolfgang
I kinda understand. Not exactly sure what that means though. I've never had to open any firewall settings or anything like that in it for uTorrent before.
jwolfgang
I can't find anything in it that is restricting uTorrent at all.
DreadWingKnight
Did you remove the rules for uTorrent in norton and re-create them for the new version yet?
jwolfgang
I cant find any "rules" for uTorrent with Norton. I never had to set any rules for the older version and I was unaware they exist.

jwolfgang
I would if I knew where any links for it were. The new one just replaced everything I had for the old one.

The new one just replaced everything I had for the old one. Here: This is for the older 2.0.4 version that I had better results with. Firon
Is the status icon red? What do you see in the tracker tab? Any errors there?
jwolfgang
Red arrow pointing down for icon. Everything else is blank. I did find where uTorrent is telling me my ports not open. It says that neither UPnp or NAT Pmp is enabled and to go change that in preferences. They are enabled though. I double checked in preferences. jwolfgang
Ok so I went to my router configuration page and shut off all firewall settings so I have no security at all. It was previously set on Low. Now uTorrent will download. When I run the test I get a green checkmark for bandwidth but Network still tells me I dont have any ports open. The other version of uTorrent worked fine with the firewall settings on my router set at Low. Is there any way of the new version working on Low? How can I get the Network part of the Setup Guide to tell me the ports are open?

Firon
We don't support old versions here.Honestly, the 'security' your router provides is not real security. There's no harm in leaving it off.
